Growing up in church in North Georgia, Richie developed a relationship with the Lord at a young age. However, it wasn't until the summer of 1996 when he experienced the call of God on his life to reach this Generation for Him. Richie spent the next two years studying youth ministry at Lee University. Immediately following graduation, he and his wife, Leann embarked on the journey of full-time youth ministry. For the past eight years, Richie has been actively involved in touching the lives of young people across this nation. His experiences have consisted of weekly youth services, discipleship, choir/drama, missions, tours, outreaches, public schools, T.V., radio, 5th quarters, summer camps, retreats, lock in's, conference speaking, and much more!

Richie has experienced tremendous growth in the churches in which he has served as the local youth pastor. Upon arrival into Cincinnati, OH, there were approximately 20 that attended the youth ministry. In only two short years, their group witnessed as many as 1,200 students present with an average exceeding 200. Most recently, Richie served in Longview, TX as the youth pastor of Rose Heights Church. He arrived in Longview with approximately 40 students attending. Only a year later, they have witnessed as many as 2,600 students present with an average exceeding 200-250!

A little over two years ago, Richie and Leann answered the "call" to come to Forney and establish Covenant Generations Church. This newly founded ministry is based on Genesis 17:7, "I will establish my COVENANT as an everlasting covenant between me and you and the descendants after you for GENERATIONS to come..." Richie and Leann reside in Forney with three children, Sydni, Ashton, and Eden.
